Al Andalyya, stuck wide all the way from a tough stall, ran pretty well in the circumstances and is one to consider if she switches to nurseries next time. |

Al Andalyya, fifth on debut in an ordinary maiden here two weeks previously, improved a little on that display. She will need to make further progress to win an average maiden, but, given another run, should be no forlorn hope when nurseries start. |

Al Andalyya, who cost $100,000 and is the first foal of a sister to 2003 St Leger winner Brian Boru was the subject of support through the day, but had her limitations exposed after showing greenness on this debut run. However, she had presumably been showing a fair bit at home and will be of more interest granted a stiffer test of stamina.
