Partnership Venture with successful Lanigan, Gordon-Watson Team

UP-AND-COMING
trainer David Lanigan and leading bloodstock agent Charlie Gordon-Watson are
combining to form an exciting new partnership venture. David and Charlie plan
to attend the breeze-up sales with the Craven ‘breeze’ at Newmarket from April
13-15, the specific target - and purchase a pair of two-year-olds for an
approximate total of £200,000.
The opportunity
Twenty
shares will be made available at £10,000 each, allowing for a stake in both
horses. As the estimated purchase price of the individuals suggests, the
intention is to acquire high-quality performers who can make their mark as
two-year-olds and progress at three.

significant stake in two potentially smart horses at a vastly reduced rate
compared to sole ownership.
You will
be buying into a partnership that has a proven success rate. David Lanigan is
one of British racing’s most promising young trainers, who learnt his trade
under such greats as Vincent O’Brien and Henry Cecil.
The
horses will be eligible for the Breeze-Up Bonus, a £10,000 supplement paid to
maiden or stakes winners that are purchased at this year’s breeze-ups.
The VAT
payable upon purchase will be reimbursed into the partnership to be offset
against training costs.
Should
the full £200,000 not be spent in buying the two horses, the balance will be
returned into the partnerships and offset against training costs.
Other
terms
It is
intended to race the horses at two and three before they are offered for
re-sale at the Horses In Training auction, October 2011.
There
will be a small monthly contribution required for training/upkeep costs which
can be met in full upfront for the rest of 2010 or payable upon invoice from
the partnership. The exact figure will be determined after the purchases.
Charlie
Gordon-Watson will charge a five per cent fee for the purchase of both horses.
This will be taken from the initial money raised and is not a supplementary
charge.
