The Last Don wins again!
20th September 2009
THE Last Don won his fourth race of the season in emphatic style at Wolverhampton yesterday evening.
The son of Redback was clearly in a different league to his three rivals in the 1m5f contest and went on to score by an eased down seven lengths.
Jockey Ted Durcan tracked the leader for the early stages of the race but took up the running with over 5f to go.
Durcan let his mount stride on and he soon put a considerable distance between himself and the rest of the field, going on to win in impressive fashion.
Having now won at Wolverhampton, Kempton twice and on the turf at Newmarket The Last Don has shown himself to be very versatile and continues to be a highly progressive individual for his connections to enjoy.
